Terms of Use

These terms apply when you use the CarCheck AU website and buy a report. By placing an order, you agree to them.

Our service

We provide vehicle history reports and PPSR search certificates based on the VIN, chassis number or HIN you enter. Reports are emailed to you as a PDF within 60 minutes of payment.

Your responsibilities

You’re responsible for entering the correct identification number and a valid email address. Reports are for your personal use in assessing a vehicle and must not be resold.

Limits of a report

A report reflects the records available at the time of the search. It does not assess mechanical condition and is not a substitute for an independent inspection. Nothing in these terms excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Privacy Policy

We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

Your name, phone number, email address, the vehicle identification number you search, and order details. If you use our contact form, we also collect the details and message you send.

How we use it

To run your search, email your report and receipt, and answer support requests. We don’t sell your information. To access or correct your details, email support@carcheckau.com.

Service providers

Payments are processed by Stripe on its secure checkout; we never see or store your card details. We use Zapier and our email provider to process orders and support enquiries. These providers may store data outside Australia and handle it under their own privacy policies.

Refund Policy

Because each report is a search run on your behalf, we generally can’t refund a report once it has been delivered. We will help in these cases:

• Your report hasn’t arrived within 60 minutes and we can’t resend it.
• A technical fault on our side stopped the search from completing.
• You were charged more than once for the same order.

Please check the VIN you enter matches the vehicle before paying. Contact us within 7 days of purchase with your order number and we’ll respond within one business day.

Data Sources Disclaimer

CarCheck AU reports are prepared by our team using official searches of the Personal Property Securities Register and our own vehicle records. All report content, design and branding are owned by CarCheck AU. All rights reserved.

Each report reflects the records available at the time of the search. Some data (such as odometer history) isn’t available for every vehicle. Finance can be registered against a vehicle at any time, so run your check on the day you buy.

Reports never include owner names or addresses, the amount owing, or unpaid fines and tolls.
